Hosted by Brass Band Northwest, the Seventh Annual Northwest International Brass Band Festival was held in Bellevue, Washington, January 31, 2009. The festival featured Douglas Yeo, Bass Trombonist of the Boston Symphony, as guest band clinician and conductor, Deanna Swoboda, Tuba Professor from Western Michigan University, as brass clinician and guest soloist, and Gunnar Folsom, Pacific NW Ballet Orchestra Percussionist, as guest percussion clinician. Participating bands were: Brass Band Northwest, Cariboo Hill Temple Band, SA, PugetBrass, and Seattle Temple Band, SA.
The day was filled with rehearsals and clinics and culminated in an evening concert open to the public.
